Sunday night can feel heavy. Even if life is going fine, your body may still brace for the week.
That dread has a name. Many people call it “Sunday scaries.” But you do not need a big routine to feel better. You need a simple reset that your body can trust.
The goal This is not about becoming a perfect planner. This is about calming your nervous system and giving your mind closure.
A simple Sunday reset you can actually do
Step 1: Lower stimulation One hour before bed: lower your screen time dim lights if possible play quiet music or sit in silence
Step 2: Brain dump Write down: what you are worried about what needs to be done what you do not want to forget
Getting it out of your head reduces mental spinning.
Step 3: Choose one priority Pick one thing that matters most for Monday. Not five. One.
Step 4: Prepare one small comfort Something simple: set out your clothes prep breakfast fill your water bottle tidy one small space
This tells your brain: “I’m taking care of us.”
Step 5: End with reassurance Say something like: “Tomorrow has enough grace for tomorrow.” “I can handle one step at a time.”
This is not about pretending everything is great. It is about giving yourself steadiness.
Consistency beats intensity. A small reset done weekly can change your whole relationship with Mondays.
